Our Happy Clients

About Houston Immigration Lawyers
I entered law school driven by a passion for social justice, eager to make a difference for those in need. I chose to join the Immigration Clinic because my fluency in Spanish allowed me to connect with clients on a deeper level. During my early days at the Clinic, I was assigned to visit a local immigrant detention center, where I met a family of asylum seekers with a five‐month‐old baby girl.
The little one wore a prison-issued onesie, a stark reminder of her confined circumstances. In that moment, her mother gently asked if I could hold her daughter, remarking that I carried the scent of the outside world. As our meeting drew to a close, she even pleaded with me to take her baby along until the family could be reunited outside those walls. Although I couldn’t take the child into my care, I committed myself to representing the family, and together we secured a favorable asylum decision.
The immense relief of helping secure their freedom, combined with the sorrow of witnessing children in detention, solidified my resolve. I dedicated my career to fighting for justice and dignity for immigrants in Houston and throughout the United States.
